Council Services
Resources developed by MESH to help familiarise learners with Council services and local council websites. The original resource is based on Wakefield council, but there is now also one for Bradford Council. There is a ‘How to’ video and a template of the slides to adapt it to your local council. Also includes a keywords list with audio, an overview with teaching notes. You can also find resources regarding What’s On and the visitor’s map which all local authorities have on their website.
These slides can be used in conjunction with the Wakefield Council website. You can adapt or extend any of the activities to suit your learner’s needs. This gives learners an understanding of services available through Wakefield Council, and encourages them to engage with the website. The slides and worksheets are also printable.
