Volunteering
Resources developed by MESH to complement various volunteering websites and the aim is to give learners at this level an idea of what opportunities are available in their local area, what skills are useful for different opportunities, and the language that will help them understand literature about volunteering. You can find a range of reading and listening resources at varying levels, though the majority are aimed at E3/L1 learners. The resources contain the main Google slides on volunteering, plus worksheets, keyword list with audio and a teaching overview.
You can use this as a digital resource, or download it and make a copy to adapt for your learners. The slides and worksheets are also printable.
Download or view the teacher notes for the volunteering slides, including suggestions for activities and approaches for use with learners at different levels. You can build these suggestions into your lesson plans
The Keywords List includes key words from the resource, with meanings, example sentences and audio.
