    NATESOL Online Annual Conference 2023 Published on 9 May 2023

    SELT testing available in Sheffield from 5 May 2023 Published on 2 May 2023
    Home Office approved Secure English Language Test (SELT) can now be taken in Sheffield from 5 May at our new Sheffield Centre located at Learn for Life Enterprise, 241-243 London Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire S2 4NF. Trinity SELTs are approved for applications to UKVI for visas, UK visa renewal, British Citizenship, Settlement, and Leave to Remain.

    VCS Engagement Day 2023 Published on 2 May 2023
    Migration Yorkshire is delighted to be able to host the VCS Engagement Day 2023 at The Studio, Leeds, on Thursday 6th July 2023. The day will focus on sharing information with each other, horizon scanning and thinking about how the sector can best respond to current and future situations. We will catch up with what’s going on across all migration agendas, share data and statistics, and have plenty of time to network.

    ESOL Lunchtime Showcase Padlet Published on 27 April 2023
    MESH are building on our ESOL Lunchtime Showcase event by providing a dynamic resource mapping Employment-focused ESOL across our region. Several providers have already added details of their offer to this resource. It is quick and easy to do this. If you are running a programme that links ESOL to employment or employability, please do add brief details so that other providers, agencies that come into contact with learners, and also learners themselves can look at what is available across our region.

    Migrant Voice have published a report on the lived experience of asylum seekers in hotels – they conducted a survey and organised focus groups with asylum seekers to enable them to talk about their experience int heir own words.

    Kirklees Welcome Pack – available in multiple languages Published on 13 April 2023
    The Kirklees Welcomes place based information packs in 15 languages. These packs are localised to Huddersfield, Batley and Spen, Dewsbury & Mirfield and Rural. For Ukraine Response these are broken down further in the Rural area to reflect where people have resettled – Colne Valley, Dearne Valley and Holme Valley. These will also be made available on the Resources section of this LE+ website.
