    Affordable warmth small grants available – Hull Published on 11 November 2024
    The purpose of the grants is to enable VCSE organisations to provide support to Hull residents to manage their household expenditure on energy, and cope with the cost of living. VCSE organisations are encouraged to provide Warm Spaces and activities that promote affordable warmth.

    ESOL Learners as Volunteers. In our October 2024 ESOL Lunchtime Showcase we focused on supporting Volunteer Teachers. In this session we are putting ESOL learners on centre stage as we explore the theme ‘ESOL Learners as Volunteers’. We will hear both from ESOL learners who are volunteers and institutions working with ESOL learner volunteers.

    Curriculum and Assessment Review: Call for Evidence Published on 5 November 2024
    The Government are calling for evidence on what is working well and what needs changing, and how and why, and some of you may be working on your response already as the deadline is 22nd Nov. If you work in a college/provider in England that has 16-19s, they will definitely be responding on things like BTECs and T Levels, English and maths, so you could send them something about ESOL to add about what is and isn’t working for EAL and ESOL young people (up to age 19).
