Tell Us More
Welcome to a new feature delivered by MESH called ‘Tell Us More’. In this feature, we aim to find out more about interesting or innovative initiatives for people working in the ESOL sector and others who work with migrants in the Yorkshire & Humber region.
In a short 10 minute interview, we talk to the key people, giving them the chance to tell us all about what they are doing and how it can work to help deliver support to learners. We will add to this series regularly, so do check the LE+ Staffroom for new additions. If you have a suggestion for initiatives we should feature in this series, or otherwise would like to comment, please do email us at info@yhmesh.org.uk. We would love to hear from you!
In this Tell Us More interview, we talk to Professor Emma Marsden of the University of York. Emma is the project lead for the OASIS database. OASIS stands for ‘Open Accessible Summaries in Language Studies’. What a great idea! Short summaries of academic research which give you quick access to the latest thinking about ESOL and other aspects of language learning – for free! Watch the video to find out more, and follow the link below to access the database and to subscribe to OASIS.
