Special Guest Dr Melanie Cooke  We are pleased to host a guest speaker at our April meeting. Melanie Cooke is a senior lecturer in ESOL Education at King’s College, London and one of the leading figures in ESOL research in the UK. At this event, Dr Cooke will share her journey from ESOL teacher to researcher, reflecting on how she engages with learners and teachers to ensure her research reaches the ESOL classroom.  She is convenor of the Hub for Education & Language Diversity (HELD) and a collaborator with English for Action English for Action. She is co-author (with Rob Peutrell) of Brokering Britain, Educating Citizens (2019) and you can access more of her publications here.

As ever, there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. Please join us to learn from an established ESOL researcher and reflect on your own research, whether it’s in the planning stage or already complete. Everyone is welcome!
