    Spotlight on spelling
    Many literacy learners say that spelling is their main barrier when they need to write, and uncertainty about spelling can be an overwhelming obstacle in expressing themselves in writing. It may also stifle creativity and give rise to frustration. In this LU interactive session, we’ll briefly review the reasons for the complexity of English spelling and then consider a wide range of strategies and methods to help learners improve their spelling skills. Thursday, 13th March, 4.30pm – 6.30pm (GMT)
