The act of producing language in the form of speaking or writing in order to think through a problem (i.e., languaging) may help people clarify their thinking and transform their thoughts into objects for further reflection. In this talk, you will be given an overview of previous research findings about the effect of languaging on second language learning. Finally, consideration of implications for theory and research will be done and then discuss for second language pedagogy.
