The MESH team has been spreading its wings into the East Midlands recently! Since getting the tender with East Midlands Councils for a project to develop ESOL in the region, Development Workers Mandy and Mary have been Out & About in Nottingham and Derby.

This report shares the findings from a multi-year project exploring the barriers that prevent people in work from improving their English language skills through ESOL.

The next meeting for the ESOL Research Community will be held on Thursday 15th January 2026 from 4 – 5.30pm via Teams.

An urgent crowdfunding request by a project set up by Professor Zahid Pranjol and colleagues to provide English language support for HE students in Gaza. The support programme is ongoing using WhatsApp and Zoom.
