Resources Hub

The Resource Hub is a collection of website links, documents, videos and audios for ESOL teachers. Whilst many are specifically ESOL resources, we’ve also included those that may be useful in a general ESOL context.

We are currently building this comprehensive resource and will be adding regional and local materials. Do you have a resource to share? We encourage you to contact us if you want us to consider your resource for inclusion in the Resource Hub. We also welcome general suggestions for improvement.

We hope you find this page useful and discover something new to enhance your teaching, fully unlocking the potential of your ESOL provision.

As well as collecting and presenting resources created by many providers and other agencies, MESH has an ever-expanding pool of resources created by our own qualified teaching team, covering a variety of useful topics such as using Council services, accessing the NHS, and volunteering.

Resources developed by MESH to help familiarise learners with Council services and local council websites. Original resource is based on Wakefield council, but this now includes Bradford council and a template to change it to your local council. Also includes a keywords list with audio, an overview with teaching notes and a ‘How to’ video showing how to adapt the resource for your area.

MESH have created these resources with Healthcare in England information – includes activities and vocabulary related to registering with a doctor, and a video about Social Prescribing. This resource pack includes resource slides to be used digitally or printed out on paper, as well as a keywords list with audio and overview with teaching notes.
